As we age or experience changes in health, flexibility, or strength, the way we fit in our vehicles can change too. CarFit is an educational program designed to help drivers understand how proper vehicle fit impacts safety, comfort, and control behind the wheel. A simple adjustment to your seat, mirrors, steering wheel, or pedals could make a lifesaving difference. What to Expect During your CarFit appointment: A trained CarFit Technician will guide you through a 12-point safety checklist You’ll answer a few simple questions about your driving habits The check takes approximately 20 minutes (Register for your timeslot!) You’ll receive personalized recommendations for vehicle adjustments or adaptive equipment An occupational therapist will be available to offer strategies to maintain and improve driving-related skills You’ll leave with local resource information and greater peace of mind CarFit was developed by AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association.     Join Stewartville Community Ed for a nostalgic trip to the 43rd Annual Antique Engine and Tractor Show on its opening day! Highlights of the day include: tractor parade at 11am, live music starting at 12pm, and games for all ages at 1pm. You'll also have ample time to explore the showground buildings, visit the real homestead, see the impressive steam engine, and more!
