CarFit is an educational program designed to help drivers understand how proper vehicle fit impacts safety, comfort, and control behind the wheel. A simple adjustment to your seat, mirrors, steering wheel, or pedals could make a lifesaving difference. What to Expect During your CarFit appointment: A trained CarFit Technician will guide you through a 12-point safety checklist You’ll answer a few simple questions about your driving habits The check takes approximately 20 minutes (Register for your timeslot!) You’ll receive personalized recommendations for vehicle adjustments or adaptive equipment An occupational therapist will be available to offer strategies to maintain and improve driving-related skills You’ll leave with local resource information and greater peace of mind CarFit was developed by AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
